The week of 6-10 March we had an excursion with the school. The trip was to Bremerhaven, in the north of Germany, so it is a bit  to far away from Gilching. On Monday we took the train from Munich to our destination. The journey took about 7 hours, so it was a bit heavy. Anyway, we arrived at the hotel and settled in. We arrived in the afternoon, so we didn't have time to do any activities, we had dinner and the teachers gave us some free time to rest.

The next day we started with the activities. First, we went to a zoo with local animals. We saw sea lions, otters, birds etc. It was very nice. After seeing the zoo we had something to eat in the cafeteria, and then we went to visit a nature park. It was a protected area. It was a place where there was nothing for miles. They explained things to us about the place, and I didn't like this particular one so much, because there was really nothing to see, and it hailed several times. To finish the day we went to the North Sea. The tide was very low, so there was a lot of beach and they could explain us things about the habitat and the animals that live there. The day was fine, but the hail was a bit uncomfortable, and also, especially at the end of the day, it was very cold. But it was great.

The next day we visited a Institute. I didn't understand much of this visit, since most of it was in German, so there wasn't much I could do. But in the end there was an experiment where we were given hot and cold salt water and hot and cold sweet water. And we had to separate it by density. I liked this experiment very much. After that we went to a museum. It was called Klimahaus, and I loved this museum. In this museum each room was abientated in a different country. There were rooms from Cameroon, the United States (Alaska), Antarctica, Samoa, Niger, Vietnam, Switzerland, Iceland, etc. Each room was set like its country, if in the country they usually have a hot temperature, the temperature was high, if it is cold, the temperature was very low. If it is a country ink which the bioma is a jungle, the room was wet, and also decorated with plenty plants, etc. Or they even put local animals, as insects, cocodriles and fishes. It was really great, and it was my favourite activity of the whole trip.

The next day was the last day of activities. So first we went to a museum, this one was really cool because it was like abientated on a ship. All was very real and very well done. So I liked it a lot, then we went to another museum, and I didn't like that much this one, because the visit was guided, also the museum was much smaller. There weren't many things to see. Finally we went for a boat ride in the harbour of the city. And after that, we went to buy some food for the next day's trip.

The trip of coming back took about 8 hours. And as there was a breakdown on the train, it took much longer. I was really looking forward to getting home, because I missed my host-family. So when I arrived I was very happy to see them. I've liked this excursion. There were some activities that I didn't like so much, because they were not so interesting, but overall the trip was very good and I had a lot of fan.
